 Science OlympiadGrades: 5 ONLY Registration Opens: January 29, 2024 Registration Closes: February 16, 2024 @ 4:00 PM Weekday/Time: Thursdays 4:00 - 5:00 PM Cost: $60 Location: Room 126 (Competition at Mounds View High School) Session: Spring Session beginning February 22, 2024 through April 13 (with possibly one more Thursday) Description: Join our team as we prepare to compete in the Minnesota Science Olympiad on Saturday, April 13th, 2024. The Science Olympiad will have 20 science and engineering events including some that test students' knowledge of rocks, weather, and astronomy or their skill with ciphers by decrypting a message, ability to describe and have a teammate build a Lego creation, or build and test a gravity-powered vehicle. There's something for everyone! During our Thursday meetings, we will practice a number of these fun events and work together to decide who will compete in each event at the Science Olympiad. Coaches will help students prepare for the competition but family support is also encouraged.
